Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be declared undesirable because my visa expired during lockdown?

No you will not be regarded an undesirable person if your visa expired immediately prior to or during the lockdown 5 stage. Your visa expiry date is "extended" until 31 July 2020. This period might be extended again depending on the President's decision closer to this date and the impact of the Corona Virus at that point in time.

How do I know that Expert, Legal, Immigration is the right consulting agency for me?

Expert, Legal, Immigration will be stay informed of all the developments during this crisis period. With 24 years of experience and Legal background we will ensure that our clients be informed always as to new developments and the best solution during each phase.

What should I do in the meantime until the lockdown is still in place?

At the moment the Head Office of the Department of Home Affairs is working on a schedule to adjudicate pending visa applications. The VFS Global Centres have opened only for collection of outcome purposes and it is still uncertain as to when it will open for a submitting applications. Until such time it is advisable to contact us to start preparing for such time when the VFS Global Centres will reopen for submissions.

Should I in the meantime prepare my Medical report, Radiology Report and Police Clearance certificate?

Whilst its unclear as to the possibility of the VFS Centres opening it might be a fruitless exercise and fruitless expenditure to obtain the Medical and Radiology Reports. These documents are only valid for a period of six (6) months. The same applies to the police clearance certificates. We will advise our clients to enquire from their Embassies or Countries of Origin and to how long Police Clearance Certificates take to be processed and issued.
